JBS USA Donation Helps A Woman’s Place Help Domestic Violence Victims

The mission of A Woman’s Place is to and help empower victims and survivors of domestic abuse so that they become safe, secure and self-reliant; and through education and collaboration, to mobilize the community to help prevent domestic violence. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and stay-at-home orders, incidents of domestic violence have increased nationwide, often straining such organizations financially to deal with increased use of services. This investment will help A Woman’s Place purchase a new van for transportation of victims, as well as supplies for the shelter.

Weld County could not ask for a better community partner than JBS. From their continuous support of the Weld Food Bank's efforts to feed those combatting food insecurity to their generous donations to the United Way of Weld County, their heart for the people of Weld County is obvious. That caring begins with their employees, as witnessed by the substantial investment made by JBS in terms of bonuses and wages paid to Greeley beef team members, as well as the physical improvements made to the facility to safeguard team members during the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm incredibly thankful for JBS' belief in the communities and people of Weld County.
