Pilgrim’s Investment Will Help Boys and Girls Club Improve, Expand Services
This project will allow the Boys and Girls Club of Deep East Texas to make improvements in five areas. The gift will help purchase 50 additional Chromebooks for online learning. It will also purchase two vans to transport children from school to the club, as well as to and from field trips. From a health and wellness perspective, the investment will purchase a larger refrigerator, new stove and storage unit, enabling the center to offer cooking classes. Additionally, part of the funds will be used for pool and gym updates.

Thanks to the JBS USA and Pilgrim’s Hometown Strong initiative, Texas will have even more support and greater access to crucial resources as we respond to COVID-19. This $6.5 million investment will help strengthen community infrastructure, provide additional COVID-19 response and relief resources, and help alleviate food insecurity.
