Hike and Bike Trail Extension to JBS Facility

Grand Island, Nebraska

Expansion of a hike and bike trail to the JBS USA Beef facility, recognition of JBS donation for that portion of the trail. Benefits include added safety for team members who walk and bike to work by adding a much needed sidewalk. Trail will be expanded by one mile, will be 10 feet wide and constructed of 6-inch thick concrete. Additionally, this will extend the path for community use, incorporating the plant as part of the community path for exercise and enjoyment.

Partner: City of Grand Island Park and Recreation

Target Completion Date: Summer/Fall 2021

During the coronavirus pandemic, JBS USA has been a community partner and generously donated beef to local food banks and also provided leadership and innovation on worker safety and plant management. The Hometown Strong initiative continues JBS USA’s commitment to our community and our future, and we look forward to a wonderful community partnership.
