Pilgrim’s Investment Will Help Upgrade the Nacogdoches Sportsplex

A total of $693,500 will fund necessary upgrades and improvements to the local SportsPlex allocated in two waves. The first wave of upgrades included restroom facilities, fencing and field netting, parking lot lighting and paving, and the installation of an electronic scoreboard. A second wave of funding will provide for additional improvements, including the paving of sidewalks, installation of a field drainage system and new soccer equipment.

Thanks to the JBS USA and Pilgrim’s Hometown Strong initiative, Texas will have even more support and greater access to crucial resources as we respond to COVID-19. This $6.5 million investment will help strengthen community infrastructure, provide additional COVID-19 response and relief resources, and help alleviate food insecurity. Footprint in Nacogdoches

The Nacogdoches operation includes two hatcheries, two feed mills and a poultry processing plant. One hatchery and feed mill are located in Nacogdoches. The facility produces 9 million pounds of finished product per week and sells a combination of commodity and frozen products that ship to foreign and domestic customers.
