JBS USA Provides $244K in Funding to Cache Valley Food Pantry as Part of Hometown Strong Initiative

JBS USA today announced a donation of $244,000 to the Cache Valley Food Pantry through the company’s Hometown Strong program to help alleviate food insecurity in Cache Valley. Specifically, these funds will aid in the construction of an additional warehouse to expand storage capacity and remodel the current facility to accommodate increasing clientele. Additionally, the gift will provide monthly funds and food donations, enabling the organization to purchase food items that are not typically donated through other means.

JBS Hyrum recently presented checks totaling more than $1.2 million to support five projects in Hyrum, Utah, through the company’s Hometown Strong program. In September 2020, JBS USA announced a $1.7 million investment in Hyrum, Utah. Building on its ongoing sustainability and social responsibility efforts, JBS USA today announced plans to invest $1.7 million to help Hyrum, Utah, respond to needs resulting from the coronavirus pandemic and invest in the community’s future. “Producing food for our country every day is something we are extremely proud of, but through the Hometown Strong initiative we’re going to be able to do even more for our community,” said Darren Olsen, JBS Hyrum Plant General Manager. “Our focus during the past few months has been on the health and safety of our team members, and we are humbled to now partner with our hometown to make meaningful contributions and look toward the future.”
